Refurbished sanctuary for St Lawrence's, Dingwall
r Andrew Niski, parish priest at St Lawrence's,
Dingwall has been refurbishing the sanctuary of
Fthe church.
The project has included the installation of a fine icon of
the crucifixion "written" specially for the church by the St
Andrew Community who are based at St Mary's Cathedral
in Aberdeen.
The latest adornment of the sanctuary are six relief sculptures
from France representing different scenes from the Gospel: The
Baptism of Our Lord; The Wedding at Cana; The Last Supper;
The Resurrection, Ascension and Pentecost. The reliefs have
been placed on the 'East Wall' - the liturgical centre of the
church's worship.
